Ms. Conklin graduated from Texas A&M University in 1992 with a B.B.A. in Marketing and from the University of Houston in 1995 with a Juris Doctorate. While at the University of Houston, Ms. Conklin placed in the semi-finals and finals in school-wide moot court and mock trial competitions. For her work as Head Casenotes and Comments Editor of the Houston Journal of International Law, she was named Best Publications Editor. Before joining the firm, Ms. Conklin was associated with the Houston office of McGinnis, Lochridge & Kilgore, L.L.P., where she represented clients in commercial litigation, life and disability insurance defense, ERISA litigation, consumer finance litigation, and employment law. Ms. Conklin became Of Counsel to the firm in June 2003 and a shareholder of McDaniel Hohlt in October 2007. Her practice includes the representation of plaintiffs and defendants in commercial contract and tort disputes and employment litigation, especially those involving employment discrimination and retaliation. Ms. Conklin is admitted
to practice before all state and federal courts in Texas, as
well as the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of
the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, the Houston
Young Lawyers Association, and the Houston Young Lawyers Animal
Welfare Committee.
